The “Tuesday Three”: Finding Your Story

Good morning!

Everybody, including me, always asks, “So, what is your passion?”

That sounds great, but if you were like me for the last few years, I HAD NO IDEA WHERE TO START.

Finding your passion all starts with finding YOUR story. Being honest with yourself about what it is that you truly care about. A great example comes from Blake Mycoskie, the founder of TOMs shoe company. In his book, Start Something that Matters, Blake proposes three questions to help us uncover our story…

Ask yourself…

1. If I did not have to worry about money, what would I do with my time?

2. What kind of work would I want to do on a daily basis?

3. What cause would I serve?

Frederick Beuchner has stated that vocation, or what we choose to do with our lives, happens when ourdeep gladness meets the world’s deep need.”

So, what is your story? Once you find it out, the relentless pursuit of your story will result in authentic success, both personally and organizationally.
